Comfy Blobs DevLog #1


Hello, folks!

Some weeks passed after the jam and we are ready to present a clean version of our game. The game is still a small prototype with 5 levels but it is much cleaner and less buggy. During this time we have gathered a team of passionate people, including an artist, a composer and a couple of programmers. We decided to call our group ComfyBit Games. We found a direction and established pillars that we want to base our game on.

Namely:

Exploration. Explore a level first then act. Levels will have collectables, secrets and unobvious solutions to find.

Puzzles. There will be a problem to solve in every level of them. We don’t want our levels to be too hard or too simple. Just something you will need to find out. To help with that we need..

New mechanics. There will be different kinds of blobs that you can fuse with to gain interesting effects. New obstacles to go through. All to expand the design space and create..

Many more levels. We want you to spend your time exploring and solving puzzles. We want to focus on creating more levels instead of bigger ones. We will have different areas with evolving visual themes. All to make..

Comfy atmosphere. Provided by cute visuals, pleasant music and relaxed game mechanics. We want to make a game where you don’t need to stress about danger, react quickly or restart levels too often. Just explore at your own pace.

Speaking of music! Our composer, crisrock, is working hard to deliver awesome tracks. Here is one of the new melodies.
